KINZART KREETURES MAINSTORE RULES

  • No spamming of any kind. This includes sound, chat, particles, voice, etc.
  • No walkers, long / loud gestures, music gestures, dancers, poofers, etc. (hint: wear the walker on your HUD so only you can hear it if you absolutely must wear one)
  • No scanners.
  • No harassment / griefing.
  • No begging (for L$, avs, or whatever).
  • No weapons.
  • No erect / dripping bits. Nudity is allowed, just keep it clean - this isn’t an Adult sim.
  • No underage (cub/baby/child/teen) avatars. Adult content is sold here, this is a Mature sim, and we have LL’s rules as well as RL laws to follow. You will be asked to change your avatar (or leave).
  • Keep memory use below 5MB. This is to help ease sim lag. You will be asked to change (or leave) if you grossly exceed this amount. This limit will be enforced more strictly during times of high traffic, such as avatar releases or events / hunts.
  • DURING HUNTS: Do not disclose item locations in local, group, or voice chat; do not use area search, do not stand on/near prize boxes. If you need help, check the provided hints notecard or ask available staff.

KINZART KREETURES SANDBOX RULES

  • All mainstore rules apply.
  • You must be in the main Kinzart Productions group to use the sandbox. We won’t manually give you rez access.
  • No sexbeds / yiffing / other adult activities.
  • Do not use the provided skyboxes for adult activities. You will be kicked on sight.
  • No vehicles.
  • No weapons.
  • No harassing, trolling, griefing, etc.
  • No spamming (voice, text, gestures, sounds, particles, objects, etc).
  • Height limit is 500m. Any builds above this limit that are not contained within a provided skybox may be returned without warning. 
  • Please clean up after yourself. We regularly clean the sim and return unattended objects/builds, but please be courteous!
  • No locked items. These will be returned on sight.

KINZART KREETURES GROUP CHAT RULES

  • Keep it clean. No adult or sexual content. This applies to both chatter and links. 
  • Don’t be rude or offensive.
  • Don’t feed the trolls. Don’t bother arguing with them or “counter-trolling”. Let staff handle it.
  • Respect the word of the admins and mods.
  • No soliciting or advertising. By extension, no begging.
  • Avoid mini-modding. We appreciate that you want to help, but please, leave the modwork to the staff.
  • Provide context for any links you post. “This is a cute video of a puppy” or something like that. 
  • No spamming. This includes multi-line emoji / emoticons, multi-message verbal spam, etc.
  • This group is a privilege, not a right.

__GENERAL QUESTIONS__

_SOMEONE IS CAUSING PROBLEMS IN THE KINZART GROUP CHAT, HELP!
Contact an online staff member and we’ll come take care of the problem asap.
There’s usually someone monitoring group chat, but it doesn’t always open up when it should. Check the chat members list to see if one is currently in chat.

_HOW DO I JOIN THE MAIN KINZART GROUP?
Open up Search and search for the avatar named Anactical. She’s our group management bot. Send her an IM saying “invite” (without quotes, of course) and she’ll shoot you a group invite.
Alternatively, go to the mainstore in Okarthel and click the sign in front of the landing spot, or ask a staff member for an invite.

_WHY IS “ANACTICAL” TALKING TO ME IN GROUP CHAT?
When Anactical, our group bot, logs in, she has to register that the group chat is a group chat and not an IM asking for an invite. Until she does, she thinks it’s a regular IM and spits out her "I don’t recognize this message, here’s my command list" thing. Don’t mind her, she’s harmless, just momentarily confused! (Also, you don’t have to say ‘invite’ when this happens, if you are already in the group)

_I DON’T LIKE GROUP CHATS! DO YOU HAVE A NO CHAT GROUP?
Yes we do! You can find it through a staff member’s profile or through search. This group is open-enrollment so you don’t have to IM our bot to join.

_YOU SHOULD MOVE TO THIS OTHER GRID!
We have no interest in moving or expanding our services to any third-party grids at this time. Please don’t bother asking. 

_I FOUND SOME OF YOUR STUFF ON ANOTHER GRID! IS IT LEGIT?
More than likely, no. Please contact a staff member with links to the offending products so we can handle them.

__GENERAL AVATAR QUESTIONS__

_YOU SHOULD MAKE [INSERT SPECIES/CREATURE HERE]!
We like suggestions on stuff to make, but please keep in mind that we are a small company and can only work so fast! We’ll take your ideas into consideration, but that’s not a guarantee it’ll be made. 

_THERE ARE TWO REDELIVERY TERMINALS? WHAT’S THAT ABOUT?
We currently have two databases for our avatars, and our two redelivery terminals are each hooked onto one database. The terminals have labels in front of them detailing which avatars they handle. If one terminal does not deliver the item you need, try the other.
Don’t worry, the double-database thing isn’t permanent! We’ll be making the redelivery process much nicer in the near future.

_CAN I BUY JUST A PIECE OF AN AVATAR?
No, we don’t sell avatar parts separately.

_CAN I BUY THE SCRIPTS FOR MY AVATAR?
No. We do not sell our scripts, permed or not.

_CAN I BUY THE SKIN/TEXTURES FOR MY AVATAR THOUGH?
Yes, you can. Contact Sylver Bu directly for texture requests. (Check her profile first, please)
Attachment textures are free.
Skin sets (head, torso, lower) are 200L per gender, per color.
Torso skins for use in skin appliers, etc, are 100L apiece.
You can only purchase textures for avatars/colors you own.

_CAN I MOD / RESELL THOSE TEXTURES?
We supply these textures for PERSONAL USE only.
You CAN mod the textures to your liking, but you MAY NOT resell / distribute them, modded or not. This applies to appliers - you MAY NOT resell / distribute appliers you make using our textures. We will take action to remove appliers being sold using our textures without our permission.

_CAN I BUY AN APPLIER FOR [BOOBS/BODY/BUTT/BODYPART]?
We currently do not supply appliers. As outlined above, please contact Sylver Bu to obtain textures so you can make your own.
You can make your own appliers for your own use, but you CANNOT redistribute or sell the appliers you make. We will take action to remove appliers being sold using our textures without our permission.
Third-party mesh bodies that do not use the Second Life UVs will likely not get support, as that requires making an entirely different texture set.

_DO YOUR AVATARS USE MESH?
Our newer avatars use _unrigged_ mesh. This is mesh that you can reposition, resize, and otherwise edit freely. It will not move with your body like rigged mesh does, but we strive to ensure the avatar looks as seamless as possible.

_WHY DON’T YOU USE RIGGED MESH ON YOUR AVATARS?
The short answer: It takes away from customization. We want you guys to be able to customize and create things using pieces from our avatars - we want them to be as flexible as possible. Rigged mesh takes away a lot of modding flexibility.
Rigged mesh does have its uses. We rig avatars where the avatar design explicitly requires it - the Northern Dragon plushies, the Darastryx, and the Murk Beast for example.

_I BOUGHT A FITTED MESH ITEM AND IT’S REALLY BROKEN! WHAT’S HAPPENING?
Your client likely can’t render fitted mesh. Update your viewer or switch to one that can properly view it.

_PARTS OF MY AVATAR ARE CLIPPING THROUGH EACH OTHER / THE WINDOWS / ETC! HELP!
Make sure your viewer is up to date! If it IS up to date, try switching to a different one (like the main LL viewer). This tends to happen when a viewer cannot render 1-bit alpha.
If this is regarding one of our older avatars that do not utilize 1-bit alpha… that’s just how regular alpha behaves; it’s very clippy and fussy.

_PARTS OF MY AVATAR ARE DISAPPEARING / DISTORTING WHEN I ZOOM OUT! WHAT’S HAPPENING?
That’s caused by the Level of Detail (LoD) changing. Objects further from the camera don’t need to be rendered as fully as objects closer, so to save resources, a lower-quality version is substituted.
This is intended behavior, and is tied to your graphics settings. Some viewers let you directly change the LoD Factor, but in general, the lower your graphics settings, the more this will occur. Higher graphics settings shouldn’t have this issue as often.

_WHY NOT USE CUSTOM LODs WHEN UPLOADING THE MESH?
Our avatar pieces are uploaded as large linksets. Creating custom LODs while ensuring all of the pieces still fit together neatly would be extremely tedious and time-consuming.
A good illustration of this is the heads of our newer avatars. Take a look at how many linked prims there are. Imagine trying to fiddle with all of those for each custom LOD to ensure they all fit together just right.

_MY LEGS ARE MAKING HOLES IN THE FLOOR / WINDOWS! WHAT ARE THOSE THINGS?
Those are invisiprims. Many of our avatars predate alpha layers, so they do not include alpha layers and instead have invisiprims linked onto the digi-legs to hide the system legs.
They’re pretty easy to hide, though. Remove the scripts from each invisiprim (not only does this lower lag, but it prevents the invisiprim texture from showing up again), then either put a 100% transparent texture on the prim or set it to 100% transparency. Then you can put an alpha layer on, and boom, fixed! (The default alpha layer included with almost all Kinzart avatars should work well for this; if you don’t have one, there are many available on the Marketplace.)

_MY LEGS/HANDS AREN’T BEING HIDDEN! WHY IS THAT?
Some viewers won’t render invisiprims anymore, and as mentioned, a lot of our older avatars pre-date alpha layers. If you have one of our newer avatars, the alpha layers from those should work just fine. If not, try asking the Kinzart group or a friend if they have one they can give you. (You’ll want one that hides the hands and legs from the knees down.)

_PEOPLE ARE TELLING ME MY AVATAR IS LAGGY. WHY IS THAT AND HOW DO I FIX IT?
Some of our older avatars are very script-heavy. We’re aware of this and we want to fix the problem - we’ll be updating these avatars to address these problems, but we can only work so fast!
In the meantime, once you’re finished customizing your avatar, PLEASE remove any unneeded scripts manually. You’ll usually only really _need_ scripts that control things like tail wagging, expressions, blinking, eye dilation, hand posing, feet posing etc etc. If you don’t know how to do this, get a friend to help you out.
Our newer avatars use the AUC/AIO system and have a much lower script impact than older ones. When you’re done customizing an avatar with this system, rez out the AUC and run AIO Stripdown - this will remove extra scripts to make your avatar more script-friendly.

_WHAT IS THE AUC / AIO THINGY?
The AUC is there to update scripts without requiring you to grab a full new update. Rez out the AUC, click it, and it’ll check to see if your scripts are up to date. If not, it’ll patch them for you.
The AUC also has the AIO Stripdown feature. Once you’re finished customizing your avatar, use this feature to remove all extra customization features to further reduce your avatar’s script impact. It’s pretty handy!
All of our newer avatars will be outfitted with the AUC, as will any updated avatars. Older avatars don’t have the AUC, so please, when you’re done customizing, remove any extra scripts. Makes life easier for everyone!

_MY AVATAR BROKE! HELP!
First, do some basic troubleshooting: Unbox a new copy of your avatar and see if the problem persists. If it does, try relogging and visiting a different, preferably not-very-busy sim. If the problem still persists, contact a member of staff and we’ll try to help you out.
(For this reason, always hang onto the box your avatar came in! If you lose it, go click one of the redelivery terminals in Okarthel.)

_DO YOU DO CUSTOM AVATARS?
Very, very rarely. Keep an eye on our group notices and newsfeed for openings.
If you don’t want a full custom avatar, but rather a custom recolor or modkit, try asking one of our affiliated modders about a custom modkit.


__AVATAR PREORDER QUESTIONS__

_I PREORDERED! WHEN DO THE AVATARS GET DELIVERED?
Keep an eye on the Kinzart notices or ask a CSR! Typically, folks who preorder will get their avatars a day or so before others.

_THE PREORDERS CAME OUT, BUT I DIDN’T GET MINE. HELP!
Go to the Kinzart mainstore and click the purple redelivery crystal. That crystal handles our newer releases and should get you set up with your new avatar. (If it doesn’t, try the blue one; if that doesn’t work, contact a staff member.)

_I LOST MY PREORDER BONUS! HOW DO I GET ANOTHER COPY?
Let one of us know! We’ll check our database to verify your purchase and help you out.


__AVATAR UPDATE QUESTIONS__

_WHAT ARE YOU UPDATING NEXT?
Our current to-do list includes the Western/Eastern Dragons.
YES, we will get to the bats, huskies, servals, etc eventually! We’re updating in order of priority; laggier avatars such as the Western/Eastern dragons will be updated first.

_WHEN WILL THE UPDATES BE DONE?
Join the Kinzart inworld group or check our newsfeed at http://kinzart.com/news.php for updates!

_CAN I SEE PREVIEWS OF THE UPDATES / NEW AVATARS IN GENERAL?
We show progress shots and very early preview models as we can, and when we’ve made significant progress we usually put a mannequin up in Okarthel. Join the KZK inworld group or follow our newsfeed to keep up to date on the latest previews.

_DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR UPDATES?
No, you do not have to pay for updates. If you purchased an avatar, and then it gets updated, you’ll get a free update to the color(s) you purchased. These updates are usually automatic - if they aren’t, we’ll make sure to notify everyone. If you think there was an update that you didn’t receive, please contact a staff member and ask, or click the redelivery terminals in the mainstore at Okarthel.

_WILL OLDER VERSIONS BE AVAILABLE AFTER AN AVATAR IS UPDATED?
When an avatar is updated, the older version is retired to the Legacy wall in the mainstore (currently on the second floor). Avatars are sold here at a discount and with limited support. 
Purchasing an avatar from the Legacy wall does not entitle you to free updates for that avatar in the future; you must purchase an up-to-date version to qualify for the free updates.
As these avatars are not tied to the database, if you need one redelivered, please contact Sylver Bu.


__AVATAR PURCHASE & REDELIVERY QUESTIONS__

_I PURCHASED THE WRONG COLOR/AVATAR! CAN YOU SEND ME THE RIGHT ONE?
Unless the error was server- or vendor-side, no.

_MY AVATAR DIDN’T DELIVER / I ACCIDENTALLY DECLINED THE OFFER! WHAT DO I DO?
Go to the Kinzart mainstore in Okarthel and click one of the redelivery crystals.
If your purchase went through properly, it’s recorded in our database. If the redelivery crystals fail to find and deliver the item to you, contact a staff member to see if the purchase was recorded.
If the database does not have the purchase recorded but your money was still taken by the vendor, contact Sylver Bu directly with a transaction number (get this through Transaction History on the Second Life website).

_SOMEONE CLICKED THE VENDOR AND I BOUGHT THE WRONG THING! HELP!
We can’t really do much in this situation unless it was vendor- or server-side.
I recommend clicking the color you want again before purchasing to ensure it’s keyed to you. The vendors have a visual indicator to show they are in use - the blue crystals on the bottom right will turn red when the vendor is in use, then blue again when they are no longer in use. Please keep an eye on that to make sure the vendor is locked to you.

_THE REDELIVERY CRYSTAL ONLY SENT A FEW OF MY AVATARS!
We have two databases, hence two redelivery crystals. There are lists of which avatars are handled on the stone panel in front of the crystals. If you don’t get the avatar you need from the crystal, hit the other one.

_THE REDELIVERY CRYSTAL DIDN’T SEND THE AVATAR I KNOW I BOUGHT, WHAT HAPPENED?
First, check to make sure you clicked the right terminal - if one terminal does not deliver the avatar you are after, check the other one. If neither gives the item and you know you bought it, please let us know and we can check the database.

_I JUST GOT FLOODED WITH STUFF FROM THE REDELIVERY TERMINAL OH MAN
Sorry! That’s something that will be fixed in the new version of our database!
If you have a large amount of avatars and only need one or two delivered, please contact Sylver Bu.

_I TRIED TO BUY A GIFT FOR A FRIEND BUT THE VENDOR SENT IT TO ME INSTEAD!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE read the text printed to local chat when you click the Send as Gift button.
Say your friend’s name on the specified channel, then *WAIT* for the vendor to get their information. The vendor will tell you if it succeeded or failed (if that happens, double-check your spelling. If your friend doesn’t have a legacy last name, make sure to add “resident”; e.g. username Resident).
In these cases, since this is a user error and not a server- or vendor-side issue, we can’t replace or resend the avatar to the 'intended’ party.

_CAN I GET A REFUND FOR AN AVATAR PURCHASE?
All purchases are final. We cannot do exchanges or refunds due to our products being no-transfer.
The only exception to this rule is if a server- or vendor-side problem affects the purchase - these are handled case by case.
